性狀(以下信息僅供參考)：發亮深綠色結晶或細小深褐色粉末，難溶于冷水及醇，加熱則易于溶解。帶有銅光澤，無氣味，在空氣中穩定。1g溶于約25ml水、約65ml乙醇，溶液為天藍色，溶于方，不溶于乙迷和苯。水溶液遇鋅粉和稀硫酸能褪色，但暴露空氣中能恢復，若加氨水則恢復更快。能與多數無機鹽生成復鹽，稍溶于酒精則呈藍色；遇濃硫酸呈黃光綠色；稀釋后呈藍色；水溶液中加入氫氧化鈉溶液后呈紫色或出現暗紫色沉淀。亞甲基藍指示劑還原態呈無色，氧化態呈藍色、性質敏感。   
用途：本品僅供科研，不得用于其它用途。(以下用途僅供參考)細菌染色劑；血清蛋白生化檢驗時配混合指示劑；配制脫落細胞檢驗染色液；制備堿性美藍染色液；氧化還原指示劑；測定汞、錫。還原滴定劑，用以沉淀高酸鹽和錸酸鹽；光度測定硒和鉬

It is associated with Cockayne syndrome through the ERCC8 gene and familial adenomatous polyposis through the adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) tumor suppressor gene. Treacher Collins syndrome is also chromosome 5 associated and is caused by insertions or deletions within the TCOF1 gene. Deletion of the p arm of chromosome 5 leads to Cri du chat syndrome. Deletion of 5q or chromosome 5 altogether is common in therapy-related acute myelogenous leukemias and myelodysplastic syndrome.

保存條件  Store at -20 °C for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20°C. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.
