AM8000系列的AM8100伺服電機專為與EL7201和EL7211伺服端子配合使用而設計。伺服電機的高動態性開辟了許多可能的應用領域：例如在工業機器人的拾放應用中，或者一般在機械工程中，其中緊湊設計和高定位精度是必需的。像AM8xxx系列的所有電機一樣，它們采用單電纜技術（OCT）版本，其中電源和反饋結合在一根電纜中。
歸功于集成在電機中的值編碼器，不再需要回零：驅動器的位置保存在EEPROM中，這對于可調軸是理想的。編碼器數據通過電機電纜*數字傳輸到EL7201-0010或EL7211-0010伺服端子。編碼器電纜可以省去。伺服端子在Beckhoff控制系統中的完整集成便于調試驅動軸。 AM8xxx系列的所有電機均使用電子銘牌，通過簡單讀取電機參數，工程成本得以進一步降低。 Beckhoff的TwinCAT自動化軟件能夠方便地對伺服電機進行參數設置。
AM81xx電機可選配無間隙永磁保持制動器，密封環或羽鍵槽。它們配備了堅固的旋轉旋轉編碼器，并且為了使用壽命長的目的，開發了用于一般機械工程的大尺寸軸承。匹配齒輪和預制連接電纜完成超緊湊的驅動軸。
